I just finished watching LA Confidential a couple minutes ago. What can I say, I had forgotten about this movie entirely. (Maybe it has to do with the fact that I was 11 when it was released?)
The script is excellent, with action but not gratuitous violence, and a complex, intelligent storyline. Definitely one of the best I’ve seen this year…and it was released a decade ago.
I suggest you Netflix it or catch it the next time it comes around on Encore.
